Soda and Pancreatic Cancer

A recent study by the Karolinska Institue in Sweden of nearly 80,000 men and women from 1997 to 2005 showed that there might be link between soda drinkers and pancreatic cancer.  Out of the test group 131 contracted cancer.  The institute released a statement to report that drinking soda twice a day increases your chance of getting cancer by 90%;  70% for sugary foods and 50% for fruit juice drinkers.  Drinking fizzy, sugary sodas and colas produces too much insulin in many people and may cause cancer.

The views expressed in this clip are those of the discussant and do not necessarily reflect the official policy, position, or opinions of Fresno State or the Cineculture film series.
